About Your Coach: Ben Wise
Mirroring two parents who love endurance sport, it was no surprise that running was something I grew up doing.
Naturally the fun runs & mile races of my youth turned into high school track and eventually morphed into sprint triathlons post-college.
I loved exercise and helping people achieve their goals, so I studied Health & Physical Education in school, thinking I’d be a teacher.
However, I soon realized that while I loved coaching, teaching was the wrong setting for me.
Fast forward, I founded ZOAR Fitness -a coaching company- in 2018, and later opened Lumber Capital Athletics in 2022.
While the frontier of business was a bit of an acquired taste, it allowed for me to thrive doing what I truly love: coaching.
So whether it’s working 1-on-1 with runners, geeking out on things like strength training for triathlon or run gait analysis, or helping athletes navigate fueling for trail races or ultras, this is what I live and breathe.
