While competing as a collegiate wrestler, Ben earned his degree in Health & Physical Education.
However, during his time in University it became clear that he loved training even more than competing. After graduating Ben needed a competitive outlet.
Enter CrossFit. The Sport of Fitness was the best of both worlds: it combined competing and training into one endeavor.
While working as a Health & Fitness teacher, Ben began competitive CrossFit and coaching at an affiliate.
Eventually Ben left teaching to pursue CrossFit coaching full time at an affiliate.
Fast forward to 2018 and Ben founded ZOAR Fitness, and began remote coaching CrossFit athletes. Now he coaches athletes at the CrossFit Games, Semifinals, and Quarterfinals levels.
In 2022, Ben founded Lumber Capital Athletics with Stacey, with the goal to provide a premier coaching experience for athletes of all ability levels.
Programming for CrossFit Lumber Capital and running the Coaches Education Program has been some of Ben’s greatest joys.
Ben loves working with any athlete who takes their training seriously.
“I love working with athletes who want to take their fitness to the next level because that’s what I help people do.”
Williamsport native, born and raised, Stacey has a passion for health and fitness that has transformed over the years from hours and miles of running on roads to training competitively in the sport of CrossFit, under ZOAR Fitness.
Shortly after discovering CrossFit she joined a local affiliate, and within a few months she knew that this was where she wanted her career in the fitness world to be. Stacey received her CrossFit L1, and then shortly after opened and owned her own affiliate in 2013, continuing down that path for the next 7 years.
While working closely with members each day, Stacey realized that the missing piece to so many peoples journey there was food. Properly fueling people and coaching nutrition became the next step for her. She then received certifications to coach people on counting macros. This enabled members to really receive full accountability to reach their goals inside of the gym and out.
In 2020, even against its challenges, Stacey enhanced her nutrition services one step further by offering a meal prep service. Macros by Ma was formed, preparing and delivering meals to clients complete with a well balanced macro breakdown.
Stacey is committed and passionate about helping people achieve overall health and wellness goals through fitness combined with proper nutrition.
Throughout her life journey, it was always clear that Ashley was drawn to challenging herself and pushing her own limits.
Although she has struggled with addiction in her past, as we dive into on this podcast episode, these experiences have helped create clarity around what is most important to Ashley: living an active, healthy lifestyle, making a living doing what she loves, and being a present mother.
Ashley is an experienced, certified CrossFit coach and -more importantly- a dear friend to many of our members.
In addition to being an excellent trainer, Ashley is an entrepreneur: she owns Pennsylvania Cleaning Co.
Ashley’s passion for people and fitness is clear to all who she comes in contact with and we are honored to have her as part of our team.
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, and CrossFit Athlete, it’s clear that Alicia lives and breaths health & human performance.
Alicia’s sister opened Legends Strength & Fitness Warehouse in 2015, allowing Alicia to jump into the functional fitness world with both feet, serving as a fitness & nutrition coach throughout her years at the facility.
Her passion for strength and conditioning is contagious, as you can hear in this podcast episode.
Alicia leads our Kettlebell Class, where her knowledge, experience and support shines to athletes of all ability levels.
Riley walked into her CrossFit gym at 15 years old, and quickly feel in love with the process of finding her limits and refining what she was capable of.
This spurred her on to achieve her CrossFit Level 1 certification while still a teen.
Shortly after this Riley jumped into the competitive CrossFit landscape with both feet and hasn’t looked back.
Stoltzfus is currently pursuing making a career of coaching and competitive fitness, as discussed in this podcast.
This has led her to perform in high level competitions scattered throughout the United States in recent years.
Riley’s work ethic and fun personality is clear to all who attend her kettlebell classes or see her train!
Kara’s two athletic passions include CrossFit and Trail Running. She has found these activities have helped build endurance, strength, and balance in her life.
Kara started running competitively in cross country during high school. Throughout her twenties she participated in road races -up to half marathon lengths- but had not yet ventured into trail running.
The adventure of running in the woods accelerated her evolution into a trail runner. Some of her favorite places to run are World’s End State Park, the Slate Run 25K course, Call of the Wilds 50K course, the Loyalsock Trail, and the Green Monster 25K course. In the future she hopes to increase her race distance to 100k.
Kara’s introduction to CrossFit in 2018 was through the CrossFit Games on television. She wondered how any of the movements would be possible for her to do, from rope climbs, to the barbell, and even things like toes-to-bar. Through hard work she is now able to do each of these, but is still striving to be the best she can moving forward!
